The design of the Martin Residence was centered around the CH25 peice by Carl Hanson. Styled to be a mid-century modern space, I incorporated funky designs and straight lines throughout the apartment. Key points would be the open floor-concept and the master walk in closet allowing laundry access straight from the master bedroom. Also, attached to the custom island is an accessible height detachable surface that works as an addition to the dinning table for larger house events.
The Martin Residence condominium is universal based design with mid-century modern style. This home was built for aging and place which provides an overall sense of comfort and benefit the owners in a number of ways. Also, If the family ever decides to move the house will be accessible to anyone which means the condo will be saleable. The furniture chosen is based off “good design” which exemplifies form over function. This references great post-war influence and also confirms the spaces imperishability. All design elements are made with the intention of clean, crisp lines. This open space radiates a cozy, relaxing area that also accommodates for music and entertaining. Overall this design is durable, comfortable, and adventurous.
