The entrance will give visitors a great idea of what can be expected within the boutique. The windows located on the front of the building will showcase the different raincoat styles as well as the natural design elements of Sunny Side Chic. When walking into the store, clients focus will be brought to the intricate details of the design. There will be natural materials such as wood and stone, as well as exciting lighting details. The raincoats will be the statement of the store because although the interior colors will be more neutral, the raincoats will be vibrant colors and styles located throughout the store. There will be different features hanging from the ceiling to express rainfall and nature.
Sunny Side Boutique was designed to interest the outdoor thrill seekers. The store sells activity raincoats for the adventurous as well as upscale fashion-forward coats for working individuals that still want to show their personality. The design style was very organic and inviting. I designed the custom display peice as well as the check-out counter to resemble natural rock to bring the outside in. The check-out also has built in planters featured on one side, an ADA height counter top on the other, and a standing height surface in the center. There is a clear sense of community when entering Sunny Side.
